Mountain Dreams - The Album by Mic Mountain and SeenDaDream
Mountain Dreams - The Album by Mic Mountain and SeenDaDream

All Hip-Hop is not created equal. Some people rhyme good and have trash beats behind them. Some have great beats and the rhymes are substandard. Mic Mountain and SeenDaDream have taken that reality and have created a project to attack all of these realities to wage a war for your ears that will hit like a WWE chair shot and their album Mountain Dreams, is the wake up call a lot of people need to hear.

See if Hip-Hop was wrestling it would be Wrestlemania season and we would have the best to listen to around this time. This would be the showcase season where the champions of word play and music are on display for the world to see. Mic Mountain is fresh off a Spanish album release, Triple Piragua, and he returns with SeenDaDream to give an English album release to display just how good his rhyme technique and ear for beats are when producing a project and he has not failed.

This album is a Boom Bap joy filled with music of the essence of Hip-Hop with a story of positive self image building, love, fake friends and belief in oneself. Music like this is needed not only to keep the culture alive but to bring inspiration to the listeners that look to tell their own stories as well. Besides having stories of pain (Snakes), we get stories of happiness and peace (Just Like Heaven). Growth is the path in which an MC can fully walk the listener into the song by painting pictures of the world they share and this album does that.

Sometimes we play the face, and the heel. Sometimes we are the student and the teacher but at all times we are the artists that share the stage with the world and what we give will decide if we will be remembered. We dream to speak and go have the world acknowledge who we are and what we are speaking about. Mic Mountain and SeenDaDream took the art of wordplay and beat selection to craft a new offering for Hip-Hop to enjoy.

Mountain Dreams will release 3/7/2025 with a virtual listening party on Bandcamp.com

The new album by Mic Mountain
The new album by Mic Mountain

In today's Hip-Hop climate we now have a discussion based on the question, " Who started Hip-Hop?" We have people arguing about foundational identity, culture, theft, racism, FBA and it seems everyone is forgetting about the most important aspect of Hip-Hop culture. The most important component of Hip-Hop is the soul. Mic Mountain dropped an album that delivers the soul of the islands with Hip-Hop rhythm that feeds the desire to move and enjoy the fruits of the culture.

The Hispanic culture is known for its drums and sounds that speak from congas, maracas, bongos etc. When you mix that with traditional Boom-Bap beats you set the stage for a miraculous mixture of rhythm and soul from the islands of the Caribbean to the island of NYC. Triple Piragua is just that, a perfect mixture of different cultures united by soul and sound to represent Hip-Hop culture.

Mic Mountain brings that 90s Hip-Hop feel lyrically with this album giving you bars that are flavored with Spanish lingo and English slang that will make him a stand out artist that can flow bilingually and efficiently with any artist that is out today. His guests on this album compliment him well and do not overpower him as he can stand on his own as a complete artist. Songs on his own shine on this project (Calle Soul) and songs with guests stand out to show his diversity and ability to rhyme with anyone salute to Muñeca MC (Puñetazo). Triple Pirgaua features veteran respected MCs like Psycho Les, Shabaam Sahdeeq, Prince Po, Nu-Jericans and more.

In a time where people are standing in opposition of who started what and who did this or that. Good music will be the one thing in the Hip-Hop Kulture that unifies everyone. Triple Piragua is one of those albums that can break this conversation and give everyone something to celebrate by its blend of everything that makes Hip-Hop culture great from so many people. This album has Rhythm, Blues, Soul, Drums, Beats, Bars, Entertainment and a Message. That message is that Hip-Hop is alive and well. It also shows us that through appreciating each other's perspective and truth no matter what the argument is "We Will Be Here Forever...", and good music like Triple Piragua will make sure we continue to live on in quality good music.

Triple Piragua by Mic Mountain is Available on Bandcamp and Streaming platforms to Purchase and Stream.

Hip-Hop creates moments in a person's life that turns smiles into memories. The memories then become stories, and those stories become inspirations. Ra-K7ng has created a statement project where he gives tribute to the Golden Era of Hip-Hop while also giving tribute to the creator of his rhymes: His Soul.

The Golden Age is an 11 song project where every track on the album is dedicated to every year in the 90s. With production from DJ Kawon, Ra K7ng talks about his past and the journey he has traveled to claim his life and give his love to the music. Revealing revelations of self awareness, growth, and a new love for life, this star in the making took his ability to raise a pen and create with paper a project that opens the soul of the artist to the ears of the listener.

Part of connecting to the listener is giving a story and a path to connect with the artist that is providing the entertainment you are experiencing. With DJ Kawon cooking up beats with a Boom Bap feel with modern sound effects, Ra K7ng walks the listener from being found in beats to listening to music that his father played, to renewing his spirit and finding himself in his journey into manhood,

With reflections of 90s music like Nas' Memory Lane, Deathrow and Street Knowledge music that was street and had messages in it, this album is not just a call back but an intro to the career of an artist that acknowledges his vocal pattern and rhyme skill is going to one day lead him to a conversation about Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole. On one of the highlights of the project 92 (Year I Was Born), Not only acknowledges his birth, it acknowledges his rebirth from new life, to new found life in one song.

The Golden Age of Hip-Hop saw Hip-Hop music expanding into the world showing the world the power, and influence it can have to enforce change. The Change was not only social but people were able to freely hear the voices of the next poets to inspire the world through beats and rhymes. Ra K7ng's projects The Healing Tape will teach his listeners and The Golden Age will aid in him growing with the listener by giving them the inspiration to live and create do to the gold Hip-Hop sewed into his soul.

The Golden Age is out now on bandcamp. Be sure to support the artist. Click the link below to get the album. It is available for Purchase and streaming here:
