Mxnxpxly Family's own Rockwelz releases 3rd solo album "Blue Chips", inspired by 90's classic NCAA basketball flick Blue Chips starring Nick Nolte playing Coach Bell; Penny and Shaq. Picture doing everything you can for your team to win and still coming up short. Similar to Coach Bell who considers pay to play or payola as we know in the rap game. He pays to get the pieces he needs to win a championship. All to in the end realize that's not the way he wants to win. This parallels Rockwelz's dilemma with the current state of hiphop's pay to play industry. Rockwelz showcases a high level of lyricism and poise on the Gutta Brown produced album which seems to show and prove it is possible to win on his own terms. No gimmicks, just jazzy lyrics from start to finish.

Rockwelz has once again delivered a concept album that will bend how you understand music and appreciate sounds. This a project that when taken the time to sit with it, will leave the listener with something to look forward to and wonder why others have not taken their time to craft a work of art such as this project.

The year 2020 is one of the most emotional years that humanity has endured. We have seen the death of greats in the world such as Kobe Bryant, Chadwick Boseman and many of the relatives we share in our communities. We have seen racism, politics and the leader of the free world become the poster child of everything wrong with it. The rise of pain in the world gave the child of pain it's time to bear witness to the struggle and that child is Hip-Hop.

Quis Chandla is taking his voice and using his brand of Hip-Hop to talk to the community, with the release of his new project "The Soul Needs Healing". By using his microphone and lyrical authority, he addresses the pain of police brutality and calls to arms all men to protect the women within the community and worldwide. With production by The Hitsystem, this project takes clean purposeful sounds and makes melodies to reflect on the lessons given with a teacher's plan of engagement. By speaking on the topics of protecting women, mental health, and paying homage to the people that have taught life lessons, this is grown man rap that is aimed to heal the world. This project does not continue the trauma of self hatred, genocide and the lack of acknowledgement all people are going through in our world. This project closes out the year 2020 on a high note by giving music that able to be played at anytime. This project gives us hope knowing that Hip-Hop still cares and will not only be a voice of pain but one that gives everyone hope in our future. "The Soul Needs Healing" by Quis Chandla & The Hitsystem is available now. Streaming this album will be the best opportunity to hear the message but purchasing this project keeps the belief of hope going as we show the world there is power in our message and Hip-Hop is a way to share that message to the world.
